After a long period of struggling with the complexity of their existing logo, causing numerous reproduction headaches, a change was overdue.
I wanted to fuse the natural beauty and cultural heritage found in Southern Kentucky with a sense of vibrancy and energy that was previously lacking. The logo is now a much stronger and simpler symbol than it was, making it easier to use across all their touchpoints.
For the graphic language I’ve juxtaposed the typeface you might see stamped on an old bourbon barrel with the bold colour palette and graphic devices born from the centre shape the logo icon.
